Mike Krzyzewski will be keeping his distance from Cameron Indoor Stadium following his retirement.

The longtime Duke men's basketball coach said he won't attend the Blue Devils' home games next season, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Krzyzewski retired this year following his 42nd season as head coach at Duke. He compiled a 1,129-309 record and reached the Final Four a record 13 times. The Blue Devils named longtime assistant Jon Scheyer as his successor.

While there was speculation Krzyzewski would remain involved with Duke after retiring, the 75-year-old made it clear in March that he was ready to fully move on.

"I will have nothing to do with our basketball program," Krzyzewski said. "This is not about me. ... (People have said) I'm trying to maintain control. That could not be further from the truth. It was mine for 42 years, but it's Duke's forever."
