USC coach Enfield: We're embracing spotlight of Bronny James

USC head coach Andy Enfield said he believes the extra attention his team will get with Bronny James joining next season won't be a bad thing.

"The spotlight is going to be on our players, but rightly so," Enfield said, according to Myron Medcalf of ESPN.

"As a coaching staff, we want our players to have that spotlight, the opportunity to be seen, for people to appreciate their talents and how they interact with each other and how good of a team we could be."

Bronny previously faced scrutiny due to his father, LeBron, saying he'd like to play alongside his eldest son in the NBA.

Enfield said LeBron and Savannah James have been "extremely supportive" of Bronny's decision to attend USC and don't have unreasonable expectations for his time there.

Bronny joins a talented Trojans roster that includes Isaiah Collier, the No. 1 prospect on the 2023 ESPN 100. Collier is expected to start in the backcourt next to Boogie Ellis, USC's leading scorer in 2022-23.

The Trojans compiled a 22-11 record last season before losing to Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament's opening round as a No. 10 seed.

USC also enters the 2023-24 campaign with returning starters Kobe Johnson and Joshua Morgan and Washington State transfer DJ Rodman (son of Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman).
