Former Kentucky commit Knox heading to Arkansas
Four-star shooting guard and former Kentucky commit Karter Knox will be a part of John Calipari's first recruiting class at Arkansas, he told ESPN's Jonathan Givony.
Knox is the No. 26 overall recruit in ESPN's 2024 rankings.
His brother, Kevin Knox, was a one-and-done player on Calipari's 2017-18 Kentucky squad. The 6-foot-7 small forward was drafted ninth overall by the New York Knicks in 2018.
When Karter committed to the Wildcats in March, he made it clear he wanted to play for Calipari. "Cal got my brother to the league; he can make me go to the league," he said, according to Adam Zagoria of Zagsblog.com.
Knox is the first highly touted recruit to flip his commitment from Kentucky to Arkansas since Calipari made the switch. Other top recruits - Boogie Fland, Jayden Quaintance, Billy Richmond, and Somto Cyril - have left the Wildcats' program but have yet to decide where they will play next season.
Kentucky freshman Zvonimir Ivisic will also be transferring to Arkansas.
