The NCAA Tournament selection committee announced its projections for the top 16 teams for March Madness.
Auburn, the top squad in the AP Poll, received the No. 1 overall seed Saturday. Alabama, Duke, and Florida received the other three first-place spots.
As expected, the SEC is the most dominant conference with six teams - and three of the four No. 1 seeds - projected as favorites come tourney time. Only twice has a conference produced three No. 1 teams: the ACC in 2019 and the Big East in 2009.
The Big 12 is expected to have five top-ranked teams in the tournament.
