Florida's Condon to test NBA draft waters
Florida forward Alex Condon will test the NBA draft waters, with the opportunity to return to the Gators next season, head coach Todd Golden told reporters Saturday, including the Orlando Sentinel's Edgar Thompson.
Condon will go through the pre-draft process before making a decision on his future.
The 6-foot-11 Condon had a breakout sophomore season for Florida, becoming a regular in Golden's starting lineup. He averaged 10.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.3 blocks while shooting 49.3% from the field and 32.8% from three.
Condon played a key role in the Gators' run to the national championship. He contributed 12 points, seven rebounds, and four steals in the title game against Houston.
The 20-year-old was named to the All-SEC third team.
Condon is projected to be selected in the first round if he declares for the 2025 draft.
