Oregon running back CJ Verdell is out for the rest of the season with a left leg injury he suffered in last Saturday's loss to Stanford, head coach Mario Cristobal announced Thursday, according to James Crepea of The Oregonian.
The junior back was carted to the locker room after appearing to injure his leg in the third quarter.
Verdell totaled 406 yards and six touchdowns on the ground to go with an additional 74 yards and one receiving score in five games.
The eighth-ranked Ducks will turn to fellow junior Travis Dye, who has 382 yards and three touchdowns on the year.
