Georgia ended a 41-year national title drought with a 33-18 win over Alabama on Monday, exacting revenge from the SEC title game loss in December.
Bulldogs quarterback Stetson Bennett and defensive back Lewis Cine were honored as the offensive and defensive players of the game following the win.
Bennett completed 17-of-26 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns, including a 40-yard score to Adonai Mitchell to take the lead in the fourth quarter.
Cine was solid in Georgia's secondary, recording six tackles and batting down passes from Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.
