The Buffalo Bills plan to construct a new stadium in Orchard Park, New York, reports Thad Brown of RochesterFirst.com.
The new facility could open as early as 2025 but is more likely to be ready for 2026 or 2027, according to Brown.
Buffalo currently plays out of Highmark Stadium, although the team's lease expires in 2023. While the lease could be extended until the new stadium is ready to open, the Bills have reportedly identified Toronto and Penn State as potential temporary homes.
The new stadium would also be an open-air facility, though it could have a partial covering, Brown notes.
