Eagles place Goedert on COVID-19 list
The Philadelphia Eagles placed tight end Dallas Goedert on the COVID-19 list on Tuesday.
The designation puts Goedert's status in doubt for Thursday's matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's fully vaccinated, though, so he only needs two negative tests to play, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Goedert didn't practice Monday and was listed as out due to an illness.
The fourth-year pro has been one of quarterback Jalen Hurts' top targets this season. Goedert ranks third on the team with 216 receiving yards and is tied for first with two touchdowns. He caught two passes for 28 yards in a win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
Should Goedert be unable to play Thursday, Zach Ertz - who has 160 yards and a score this season - will likely see an increased role.
