Edmonton Oilers defenseman Jake Walman was fined a total of $10,000 for roughing and unsportsmanlike conduct in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, the league announced Tuesday.

Walman was docked $5,000 for punching Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk in the third period Monday.

The blue-liner was fined an additional $5,000 for spraying water at the Panthers' bench during the second period. He received a two-minute minor for each incident.

"I obviously did that for a reason," Walman told reporters postgame, per TSN. "It's just gamesmanship, I guess."

Edmonton was issued 85 penalty minutes in Game 3, the second most by one team in the Stanley Cup Final. Both teams incurred over 120 penalty minutes in the third period alone, which featured a melee halfway through the frame.

Game 4 takes place Thursday. The Panthers are looking to take a 3-1 series lead.
