Watch: Fernandes breaks EPL single-season record with 21st assist
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes set a new record for assists in a single Premier League season Sunday.
The playmaker surpassed the previous mark of 20 that was jointly held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne when his corner-kick was headed into the net by Patrick Dorgu in the Red Devils' season finale at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Fernandes has crammed five assists into his past seven Premier League appearances as he worked hard to reach assist No. 21 and the record.

The Portuguese midfielder, who was named Premier League Player of the Season on Saturday, also scored in the second half for his 30th goal involvement in a fantastic individual campaign that has helped Manchester United secure a Champions League berth.
"I want collective awards more than anything," Fernandes said last week. "But knowing that your job is being recognized by many people, a lot of players came out and said I was player of the season, for that I am very grateful."
He's set to represent Portugal at the World Cup this summer.
