DeShields, a former No. 3 pick who averaged 13.1 points last season, joins the Wings after one year with the Mercury. Dallas also received the No. 5 pick in the upcoming draft and additional draft capital from Chicago.

The Wings sent Mabrey to the Sky, who recently lost stars Courtney Vandersloot and Candace Parker in free agency. Mabrey, who averaged 13.7 points and 3.7 assists last season, appears set to replace the former in Chicago's starting backcourt.

Phoenix added former No. 6 pick Onyenwere to its frontcourt. The forward started 29 of the New York Liberty's 32 games in 2021 but fell out of favor in the rotation last season.

New York, meanwhile, picked up German forward Leonie Fiebich and higher draft capital.
