LONDON, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 17: Daniel Dubois looks on with the title belt after victory over Fabio Wardley in their WBO World Heavyweight title fight on the Daniel Dubois v Fabio Wardley 2: Run It Back fight card at The O2 Arena on October 17, 2026 in London, England.

Daniel Dubois scored an emphatic victory in his rematch with Fabio Wardley.

Dubois, the WBO heavyweight champion, defeated Wardley via TKO at the 2:21 mark of the second round to retain the title Saturday at The O2 Arena in London.

Referee Steve Gray waved off the fight after Wardley's corner threw in the towel.

Five months after Dubois beat Wardley via 11th-round TKO in a Fight of the Year candidate to claim the title, Dubois left no doubt that he was the superior heavyweight in their rematch.

Dubois scored a standing knockdown in the first round and nearly finished Wardley with a barrage of punches late in the frame. The onslaught continued in the second round as Dubois pummeled Wardley and eventually finished him with 39 seconds left.

After the fight, Dubois squared off in the ring with IBF heavyweight champion Filip Hrgovic, signaling that a rematch could be next. Dubois upset Hrgovic via eighth-round TKO in June 2024.

Dubois is now riding a two-fight winning streak and is 5-1 in his last six outings. The 29-year-old Englishman's lone loss during that stretch came against Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed heavyweight title bout in July 2025.

Dubois is also a former IBF heavyweight champion.

Wardley has lost two in a row for the first time in his career and fell to 20-2-1 as a professional. The 31-year-old Englishman held the WBO title from 2025-26 and is also a former WBA interim champion.
