The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired left-handed reliever Nick Ramirez from the New York Yankees for cash considerations, the club announced Tuesday.
Los Angeles moved right-hander Brusdar Graterol to the 60-day injured list to make room for Ramirez on the 40-man roster. Graterol has been sidelined to start the season with right shoulder inflammation.
Ramirez will give the Dodgers another left-handed option out of the bullpen alongside Ryan Yarbrough and Alex Vesia.
The 34-year-old enjoyed a strong season for the Yankees in 2023. Ramirez posted a 1-2 record with a 2.66 ERA and 47% ground-ball rate across 40 2/3 innings. He owns a 4.04 ERA and 7.55 K/9 over 96 career appearances in four MLB seasons.
