Ben Rice entered the game as Chisholm's replacement at first base, with DJ LeMahieu moving across the diamond at third.
"Hopefully, we get good news on it tomorrow," manager Aaron Boone told reporters postgame. "X-rays were negative, and he was in pretty good spirits here, so we'll see what we have tomorrow. Hopefully, it's not too serious."
Chisholm said he wasn't "super concerned about it," and that he thinks "we're going to be good," according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch.
The 26-year-old has excelled since being acquired by the Yankees from the Miami Marlins ahead of July's trade deadline.
He recorded two hits and a stolen base before exiting Monday's game. Chisholm owns a .247/.328/.445 slash line on the season with 20 home runs, seven of those while with the Yankees.
New York lost the contest 12-2.
