The Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles are among teams showing interest in signing free-agent outfielder Teoscar Hernández, sources told MLB Network's Jon Morosi.
Hernández, 32, is fresh off winning the World Series with the Los Angeles Dodgers after joining on a one-year deal last offseason.
The slugger enjoyed an All-Star season in Los Angeles, crushing a career-high 33 home runs to along with 99 RBIs. His 137 OPS+ was the second-highest mark of his career.
The Red Sox have a need for a right-handed power bat with Tyler O'Neill hitting free agency. They reportedly pursued Hernández last winter before he ultimately agreed to terms with the Dodgers.
Baltimore, meanwhile, could be looking to replace the production of free agent Anthony Santander should he sign elsewhere.
Both clubs know Hernández well after seeing him frequently during his six-year stint with the AL East-rival Toronto Blue Jays.
Hernández has hit 192 home runs in nine MLB campaigns.
