The Seattle Mariners defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 10-3 at Rogers Centre on Monday to take a 2-0 lead in the ALCS.

Homers from Julio Rodríguez, Jorge Polanco, and Josh Naylor accounted for eight of Seattle's 10 runs.

Polanco and Naylor combined for five of the Mariners' 10 hits, with Naylor playing in front of friends and family in his native Canada.

"I was very thankful to get some hits, help the team out," Naylor said postgame, according to theScore's Scott Campsall.

"Super cool to do it in front of my family, too. I'm very blessed to have them all here, all my friends. It was a really cool moment for them."

Polanco's three-run blast in the fifth inning put the Mariners on top for good after the Blue Jays tied the game at three in the second.

The Mariners second baseman is 4-for-9 with five RBIs and seven total bases through the first two games of the series.

"It felt amazing to see that ball go over the wall," Polanco told Tom Verducci of Fox Sports after the win.

Logan Gilbert allowed three runs (two earned) in three innings after getting the start, but Seattle's bullpen was the difference-maker Monday. Three relievers combined to allow one hit and no runs against the Blue Jays, who have yet to score after the second inning in this series.

Nathan Lukes went 3-for-4 and was responsible for three of Toronto's six hits.

Rookie right-hander Trey Yesavage took the loss after giving up five earned runs on four hits with three walks in four innings pitched.

"I would say nothing was spectacular today," Yesavage said afterward, according to Sportsnet.

Game 3 takes place Wednesday at T-Mobile Park in Seattle at 8:08 p.m. ET.

Shane Bieber will start for the Blue Jays opposite George Kirby for the Mariners.
