Mark Shapiro has been handed a third five-year term as president and CEO of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Shapiro is now set to remain with the franchise through 2030. The extension follows a remarkable 2025 campaign that culminated with the Jays reaching the World Series before falling to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7.

"The opportunity to lead the Blue Jays organization over the past 10 years has been incredibly fulfilling," Shapiro said, adding, "I am grateful and honored to be able to continue that work."

The Blue Jays' recent heroics followed a last-place finish in the 2024 campaign. John Schneider's team finished atop the American League East with a 94-68 record through the 2025 regular season before beating the New York Yankees and the Seattle Mariners to clinch the American League Championship Series.

"Watching our country unite behind our team this past season has inspired and energized us to continue a relentless pursuit of bringing World Series championships back to Canada," Shapiro said.
