Pittsburgh Pirates reliever Chris Devenski was suspended three games and fined an undisclosed amount for intentionally throwing at Cincinnati Reds first baseman Sal Stewart during Saturday's blowout win, MLB announced Tuesday.
Devenski was ejected following the incident, which took place in the seventh inning with the Pirates up by nine runs.

Pirates manager Don Kelly also received a one-game ban. He will serve his suspension Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Devenski can appeal his punishment, which means he will be eligible to play until the process is resolved.
The two NL Central rivals don't meet again until a three-game series in Pittsburgh starting June 26.
