Despite losing his last two fights, Conor McGregor appears to think he'll receive an immediate UFC lightweight title shot when he returns to the Octagon.
"I'm facing whoever the f--- has that (lightweight) title next," McGregor tweeted Monday. "Deal with it."
The former two-division champion has been out of action since July when he broke his leg in a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He's expected to return in 2022.
That fight marked McGregor's second straight loss to Poirier, who stunned the Irishman by second-round knockout in January.
McGregor, who is 1-3 in his past four outings dating back to 2018, said his rivalry with Poirier is "unfinished." Poirier is slated to challenge Charles Oliveira for the 155-pound belt at UFC 269 on Dec. 11.
There are several lightweight contenders waiting for a shot at the winner of Oliveira-Poirier, including Islam Makhachev and former interim champ Justin Gaethje.
McGregor is ranked No. 9 in the division and hasn't won at that weight since he captured the title against Eddie Alvarez in 2016.
