Cormier trades jabs with Buckley after McGregor callout
Warning: Story contains coarse language
UFC color commentator Daniel Cormier and welterweight contender Joaquin Buckley exchanged blows on social media Wednesday in the wake of Buckley's recent callout of Conor McGregor.
Buckley blasted Cormier along with Michael Bisping and Chael Sonnen after they criticized his postfight interview last weekend at UFC St. Louis. After beating Nursulton Ruziboev in his hometown, Buckley targeted McGregor, the biggest star in MMA history, instead of calling out a top-ranked welterweight.
Buckley accused the analysts of twisting his words in a post on X. Bisping was a color commentator at the event.
Let this be known @dc_mma @bisping @ChaelSonnen Ya mommas raised some hoes!!!!! Yall really trying to twist up my words knowing damn well what I said in that cage but it’s ok we can all have some fun 💯🙅🏿♂️

Cormier, a former two-division champion and UFC Hall of Famer, fired back.
"Shut up, p---y!" Cormier's response said. "Maybe listen. You had a dumbass callout. You're getting talked about by three of the biggest voices in the game. Maybe listen. It was the worst callout in history. Don't let winning a few fights at 170 lbs get you too excited, bruh. Don't mention Audrey!"
UFC CEO Dana White shut down Buckley's request to face McGregor with a simple "no" at Saturday's postfight press conference. McGregor is booked to return against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29.
Buckley then turned his attention to a potential bout against former welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns, who also expressed interest in the matchup.
Buckley, 30, earned his fourth win in just under a year at UFC St. Louis. The No. 11 welterweight broke into the rankings in March with a knockout victory over Vicente Luque.
