Page hands Shara 'Bullet' 1st loss in comprehensive decision
Michael "Venom" Page handed Shara "Bullet" Magomedov his first career loss at UFC Saudi Arabia.
Page defeated Magomedov via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) in Saturday's co-main event in Riyadh.
"Everybody, look at me, look at me," Page said in his postfight interview. "I am the captain now."
Page used his elite distance management to pick apart and confuse Magomedov throughout the fight. He shut down much of Magomedov's offense and was the sharper and quicker striker.
With the victory, Page, a former Bellator star, is now 2-1 since debuting in the UFC last year. He moved up to the middleweight division for this fight but said afterward he plans to return to welterweight next.
Magomedov falls to 4-1 in the UFC and 15-1 as a professional with the defeat.
