The PFL's debut in Africa will now take place on the same day as a major UFC pay-per-view event.
The promotion announced Tuesday it moved its event in Cape Town, South Africa, from July 26 to July 19. No reason was given for the change.
The PFL will share the new date with UFC 318, featuring Dustin Poirier's retirement fight against Max Holloway in New Orleans. However, the two cards will likely air at different times of the day.
A middleweight title fight between Johnny Eblen and Costello van Steenis is scheduled to headline the PFL's event in Cape Town. A women's flyweight bout between 2024 PFL champion Dakota Ditcheva and Sumiko Inaba will serve as the co-main event.
