Jennifer Hudson to perform Kobe tribute during All-Star Game
The NBA is incorporating another Kobe Bryant tribute into the 2020 All-Star Game.
Grammy Award-winning singer and Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson will perform a special tribute to the late Los Angeles Lakers legend, his daughter Gianna, and the seven others who died in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26, the NBA announced Thursday. The performance will take place prior to player introductions.
Chance The Rapper will take the stage at halftime, with Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and Quavo joining him. Chaka Khan will perform the United States national anthem, and Tenille Arts will sing the Canadian national anthem.
Players participating in the All-Star Game will wear No. 24 and No. 2 jerseys in honor of Kobe and Gianna. The jerseys will also feature memorial patches for the nine crash victims.
