Celtics' Brown, Tatum not seriously injured in on-court collision
Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum aren't seriously injured after colliding late in the Boston Celtics' loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday and leaving the game.
Brown will sit out versus the Orlando Magic on Wednesday due to a sprained ankle but will be "very much day-to-day after that," coach Brad Stevens told reporters Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Tatum was a full participant in Tuesday's practice, as was guard Kemba Walker, who's missed the past four games with an oblique injury.
The trio represents almost the entirety of the Celtics' identity on offense, accounting for the team's top three scorers and three of the top four passers in terms of assists per game.
STAT | J. Tatum | J. Brown | K. Walker |
---|---|---|---|

With just seven games remaining on their regular-season schedule, the Celtics have a pressing need to improve upon their current rank in the Eastern Conference. If their ranking as the seventh seed holds, Boston will have to participate in at least one play-in game in order to secure a playoff berth.
