Cleveland Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a torn meniscus in his left knee, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Sexton has been out of the lineup since injuring his knee Nov. 7 against the New York Knicks.

The fourth-year player was averaging a career-low 16 points per game while shooting 24.4% from three before going down.

Cleveland has remained competitive this season despite being unable to count on last year's leading scorer, as the club sits eighth in the Eastern Conference with a 9-8 record.
