Curry: Non-call against Clippers 'definitely fired me up' in 4th quarter

The Los Angeles Clippers learned a valuable lesson during Sunday's 105-90 loss to the Golden State Warriors: Don't mess with an angry Stephen Curry.

With the Warriors leading 79-70 early in the fourth quarter, Curry hit the floor after hard contact from Terance Mann while driving to the lane. However, the three-time champion didn't get a foul call, which prompted him to get visibly frustrated with an official.

Curry received a technical foul for his actions, which sparked a 19-7 Warriors run over the next four-plus minutes that helped put the game away.

During that stretch by Golden State, Curry got his revenge on the referee by giving himself his own 'T' after an incredible 3-point make.

"I thought I got fouled, so I let my emotions go," Curry said of his antics after the Warriors' eighth straight win, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell. "And definitely fired me up, fired our team up - you have to be able to direct that energy into just putting the ball in the basket, obviously, after that. So that's where I feel like we do it well, where you don't let it become a distraction for the rest of the game, and it obviously helped open up the game."

"It was as upset as I've seen Steph in a long time," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said, per Friedell. "And it was as upset as I've been in a long time, too. It's kind of a miracle that I didn't get a technical, but it seemed to get him going."

Curry continued producing at an MVP level Sunday with 33 points, six assists, and five rebounds. He also registered a season-high six steals to help Golden State improve to a league-best 18-2 this season.
