Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards was confident that Minnesota would force a Game 7 against the Denver Nuggets.

After their 115-70 Game 6 victory in Minnesota, the 22-year-old revealed that he had promised the Nuggets' arena staff that the Timberwolves would return to Denver for a do-or-die finale after Minnesota's Game 5 loss.

The Timberwolves opened up a 17-point first-quarter lead in Game 6 and never looked back. Edwards scored a game-high 27 points in only 33 minutes of action.

The 45-point win is the second-largest margin of victory in a playoff elimination game in league history, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic.

Game 7 is scheduled for Sunday in Denver, with the winner taking on either the Dallas Mavericks or the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference finals.
