Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards vowed to be more aggressive with his club facing a 2-0 series deficit against the Dallas Mavericks in the West finals.

"Y'all are going to see it tonight. It's going to be a lot of shots," Edwards told reporters Sunday before a pivotal Game 3 clash, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Edwards is averaging 20 points on just 33.3% shooting through the first two games of the series. Those numbers are a steep decline from the previous two rounds of the playoffs when the former No. 1 overall pick tallied 28.9 points per contest and shot 50.4% from the field.

Edwards was also averaging over 20 field-goal attempts heading into the West finals. He has yet to exceed that mark in either tilt against the Mavericks.

"I'm going to be super-aggressive," Edwards said. "I haven't taken more than 16 shots in each game. So, I'm going to be ultra-aggressive coming out, for sure."

Minnesota overcame a 3-2 series deficit in the West semis against the reigning champion Denver Nuggets. The T-Wolves are 5-1 on the road during the playoffs, including a 20-point comeback win in Game 7 versus the Nuggets.

Game 3 against the Mavs tips off at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday.
