Cleveland Cavaliers wing Max Strus is expected to make his season debut Friday against the Washington Wizards, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Strus suffered an ankle sprain during a preseason workout and was originally slated to miss six weeks.
The 28-year-old averaged a career-high 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and four assists in 70 starts during his first campaign with the Cavaliers. He joined Cleveland on a four-year, $63-million contract last offseason.
Isaac Okoro started 14 games alongside Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen.
Cleveland has stormed out the gates with a NBA-best 21-4 record, including winning its first 15 contests.
