The Minnesota Timberwolves are riding a six-game winning streak, and head coach Chris Finch credits their newfound rhythm to having greater consistency.

"Sometimes the only team that we really fear is ourselves," Finch said, according to The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski. "It feels like we're through some (of our) inconsistencies. It doesn't mean we're not capable of having a bad game. But it feels like our habits and our approach is way more consistent and way more where it needs to be."

Minnesota convincingly toppled the Denver Nuggets 115-95 on Wednesday. The Timberwolves were in control from the jump and didn't allow the Nuggets to hold a single lead.

It was Minnesota's first game in Denver since knocking the Nuggets out of the playoffs in Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals last season. T-Wolves veteran Mike Conley said being back in Ball Arena reignited something in the team.

"It felt similar to last year," Conley said postgame. "Being in this building, you have to play that way to beat a team like this on the road. They're really, really good. We just came in with an angrier mindset."

The Timberwolves are surging at a key juncture of the season. With 15 games left, Minnesota is narrowly behind the Golden State Warriors for the 6-seed.

Anthony Edwards, who contributed a team-high 29 points Wednesday, said Minnesota's goal is to finish in the top six and avoid the play-in tournament.

"The playoffs are right around the corner," Edwards said. "We at a crucial point right now in the season where we gotta string along some wins to try to move up in the standings to get out of the play-in. That's not easy. We trying right now. We got everybody back full strength and everybody in a good headspace, so it's going pretty smooth."

The 38-29 Timberwolves will look to extend their streak Friday against the Orlando Magic.
