The Sacramento Kings are trading second-year guard Nique Clifford to the Oklahoma City Thunder, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
In return, the Thunder are sending two second-round picks to the Kings.
Clifford started 28 of 75 games as a rookie last season and averaged 8.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. However, he's played sparingly in 2026-27, averaging just 6.3 minutes over eight appearances.
Oklahoma City initially selected Clifford 24th overall in the 2025 draft before shipping his draft rights to Sacramento for a protected first-round pick in 2027. That selection, which originally belonged to the San Antonio Spurs, is top-16 protected.
The 24-year-old gives head coach Mark Daigneault another wing option off the bench for a shorthanded Thunder squad that's been ravaged by injuries. Jalen Williams is expected to miss most, if not all, of the season after fracturing his fibula and dislocating his ankle in the team's third game of the year. Cason Wallace is also out indefinitely due to a torn shoulder labrum that he suffered in the same contest.
Additionally, the Thunder could be without center Chet Holmgren until the new year after the 7-foot-2 center underwent treatment to address a torn patellar tendon.
