Duke locked in one of the nation's top backcourt recruits on Wednesday after DJ Steward committed to the program.
“I’ll be heading to Duke University to play under Coach K,” Steward told 247Sports' Evan Daniels. “Me and my family went on the visit this weekend and it was amazing. We love the principles of Duke and how united Duke was as a program.”
Steward ranks as the No. 26 recruit overall and No. 7 shooting guard on the 2020 ESPN 100 board. He is currently listed at 6-foot-3 and 160 pounds.
The Chicago-born two-guard is the third five-star recruit coach Mike Krzyzewski and his staff have lined up from the 2020 recruit class. Duke's previous commits include small forward Jalen Johnson and point guard Jeremy Roach.
