The 6-foot-11 center chose the Hoyas over Tennessee, Stanford, and Georgia.
Dikembe starred for Georgetown in the late '80s and early '90s before embarking on a successful 18-year NBA career. He was a two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year and formed a potent frontcourt tandem with fellow Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning.
