The 6-foot-2 guard decommitted from Kentucky less than a month ago.
Auburn and Kansas were also in the running for Hickman's services.
The Bulldogs have replenished their depth after losing numerous players from last year's squad to the NBA. The program already secured No. 1 recruit Chet Holmgren, five-star guard Hunter Sallis, and Iowa State transfer Rasir Bolton prior to Hickman's announcement.
Gonzaga is seeking its first national championship after falling short in the 2021 title game.
