5-star forward Caleb Wilson commits to UNC over Kentucky
Caleb Wilson, the No. 6 prospect on the 2025 ESPN 100, announced his commitment to North Carolina on "NBA on TNT" late Thursday night.
Wilson picked the Tar Heels over Kentucky and Ohio State.
"I chose UNC because of their rich basketball culture and their historical presence in college basketball history," Wilson said to On3's Joe Tipton. "I believe in coach (Hubert) Davis, and he believes in me, so I feel all I need to do is prove us right."
Wilson, a 6-foot-9 forward from Atlanta, becomes the highest-ranked prospect in the Tar Heels' recruiting class of 2025. He joins four-star guards Derek Dixon and Isaiah Denis.
Under Davis, North Carolina is 12-8 on the season and has a 5-3 conference record. The Tar Heels lost to Kansas in the NCAA championship in Davis' first campaign, 2022, and reached the Sweet Sixteen in 2024.
