Texas pass-rusher Colin Simmons is dealing with a high ankle sprain and is expected to miss Saturday's game against Ole Miss, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.

Simmons' injury is considered week-to-week.

He underwent an MRI on Monday that didn't reveal any structural damage, reports Orangebloods' Anwar Richardson.

The Longhorns edge rusher had to be helped off the field in the fourth quarter of Saturday's loss to Florida. He spent time in the medical tent before being carted back to the locker room.

The junior standout recorded four tackles for loss and a sack before exiting the game.

Simmons leads the nation with 16 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks through six games. The Dallas native is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

Texas could also face Ole Miss without running back Hollywood Smothers, who is dealing with a undisclosed injury, reports Richardson.
