OBJ cleared for Steelers game after 2nd negative, Mayfield will reportedly play
Cleveland Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been cleared to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday after producing a second negative COVID-19 test, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
All of the Browns' test results were also negative for the second consecutive day.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield (rib) and wide receiver Jarvis Landry (hip/rib), who were both questionable to play in Week 6 along with Beckham, will play in the AFC North showdown, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Beckham was sent home from the team's facility on Thursday due to an illness, but he returned Saturday and participated in a walk-through, Cabot adds.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media Friday that the receiver was "doing better," according to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.
The 4-1 Browns will count on Beckham's presence as they prepare to face the 4-0 Steelers in a crucial AFC North showdown.
The 27-year-old has recorded 21 receptions for 294 yards along with three touchdowns this season.
