The reigning NFL MVP isn't happy with the team's recent choices and wants to be more involved in personnel decisions, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
One specific situation that didn't sit well with Rodgers was when Green Bay cut wide receiver Jake Kumerow last September just one day after the star quarterback praised the pass-catcher, Rapoport adds. The release reportedly "drove Rodgers nuts" and was a "death knell" in the relationship.
Rodgers also wants a new lucrative long-term extension as he's apparently seeking more commitment from the Packers. The nine-time Pro Bowler was frustrated with the franchise selecting quarterback Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 draft.
Packers CEO Mark Murphy recently said his team is "very much aware" of Rodgers' concerns, and they've tried to fix it "for several months."
