Aaron Rodgers has finally revealed what happened to his toe - and he went viral for it.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback, who hasn't practiced for two weeks due to an ailment he initially described as a "COVID injury," said Wednesday that he actually has a fractured toe.

"I mentioned yesterday that it's worse than turf toe and it must be a bone issue," Rodgers said Wednesday, according to Myles Simmons of ProFootballTalk. "I can't believe I have to come on here and talk about my medical information, but yeah, I have a fractured toe."

Rodgers not only told reporters about the injury, but he also showed his foot on the video call, instantly going viral on social media.

Rodgers also responded to a report on Wednesday from Andrew Beaton of The Wall Street Journal that said Rodgers had the medical condition "COVID toe."

"I've never had a 'COVID toe' before," Rodgers said. "I have no lesions on my feet. It's just a classic case of disinformation. It's surprising coming from what used to be a reputable journalistic institution."

Rodgers sustained the toe injury while he was doing his own workouts away from the team facility after testing positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 3. He didn't publicly explain initially how the ailment happened when he returned to the Packers.

The superstar passer will likely have to play through the injury for the rest of the season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"It's just about pain management," Rodgers said of his toe injury. "There's surgical options as well that wouldn't involve missing time. ... But I'll definitely look at all options over the bye week and decide what would be best to make sure I get to the finish line."

The 37-year-old, who missed Green Bay's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9, has now played two games since fracturing his toe. The reigning NFL MVP went 1-1 in those games, completing 65% of his passes for four touchdowns against one interception.

Overall, Rodgers has tossed 21 touchdowns to only four interceptions in 2021 to go along with an 8-2 record.

The 8-3 Packers will face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday before Green Bay's bye week.
