Aaron Rodgers has emerged as a quarterback option for the Pittsburgh Steelers, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Steelers and the veteran passer are expected to discuss a possible partnership, Schefter adds. The franchise is also reportedly set to make an offer to free-agent quarterback Sam Darnold.

Pittsburgh is also apparently still talking to quarterbacks Justin Fields and Russell Wilson about potential deals. Both quarterbacks started games for the Steelers in 2024 but are scheduled to become free agents.

Rodgers has also been linked to the New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks.

The four-time league MVP spent the last two seasons with the New York Jets. However, the stint didn't go as hoped as Rodgers tore his Achilles four snaps into the 2023 campaign and could only produce a 5-12 record in his 2024 return.

The 41-year-old threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions last season.

The Steelers' pursuit of Rodgers comes after the team acquired star wide receiver DK Metcalf from the Seahawks in a trade that involved a second-round pick.
