The Minnesota Vikings are signing defensive tackle Javon Hargrave to a two-year, $30-million deal, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Reports Tuesday indicated the two sides were closing in on a contract. The 49ers recently released Hargrave after two seasons.

San Francisco signed Hargrave to a four-year, $84-million deal in 2023. He was with the Philadelphia Eagles for three years before landing with the 49ers.

Hargrave is coming off a torn triceps injury that forced him to miss 14 games last campaign. His best season came in 2022 with Philadelphia, where he racked up 60 tackles and 11 sacks.

Minnesota has been active this offseason, signing guard Will Fries, cornerback Isaiah Rodgers, and defensive tackle Jonathan Allen. It also retained Byron Murphy on a lucrative deal.

Hargrave, 32, has 55 tackles for loss and 45 sacks in 130 career games.
