Report: Raiders target Seahawks' Kubiak as next head coach
The Las Vegas Raiders are zeroing in on Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their next head coach, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.
Kubiak intends to finalize a deal with the Raiders after meeting with them and the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Although the sides can't complete a deal until after Super Bowl LX, Kubiak is expected to join the Raiders after the game, Pelissero adds.
Kubiak has received rave reviews for his work with the Seahawks' offense this season. Under his guidance, the Sam Darnold-led unit is averaging 28.4 points per game, third-most in the NFL. Seattle also ranks eighth in offensive yardage.
Kubiak, 38, will lead a Raiders franchise that owns the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The top candidate to go first overall is Heisman-winning Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
The Raiders moved on from previous head coach Pete Carroll after a one-and-done season in 2025, when he produced a 3-14 record.
Including interim coaches, Kubiak will be the Raiders' sixth head coach since 2021, joining Jon Gruden, Rich Bisaccia, Josh McDaniels, Antonio Pierce, and Carroll.
With Kubiak heading to Las Vegas, the Seahawks will need to search for a third offensive coordinator in as many years under Mike Macdonald.
