Quarterback Russell Wilson hasn't decided if he'll return for a 15th NFL season or accept a TV analyst position.

On Wednesday, Wilson shared that he received a contract offer from the Jets after visiting the team's headquarters in April.

"It was great," Wilson said of his meeting with the organization, according to the New York Post's Ryan Dunleavy. "They offered me, and I'm trying to figure out what the next best thing is for me to do. I still know I can play ball at a high level, but also I have an opportunity to do TV (analysis), so we'll see what happens."

The veteran passer is in deep discussions to transition into television. CBS' Sunday pregame show, "The NFL Today," is considered the front-runner to land Wilson, sources told The Athletic's Andrew Marchand. CBS is looking to fill an opening among its crew created by the departure of Matt Ryan, who left in January to become the Atlanta Falcons' president of football.

Wilson spent the 2025 campaign with the New York Giants, passing for 831 yards and three touchdowns with a 58% completion rate in six games. The 37-year-old started the first three games of the regular season before being replaced by rookie Jaxson Dart and later passed by Jameis Winston on the depth chart.

If Wilson ultimately agrees to terms with the Jets, he would reunite with Geno Smith and likely serve as his backup. New York brought Smith back for a second stint by acquiring him in a trade from the Las Vegas Raiders on March 10. Smith played behind Wilson from 2019-21, when they were members of the Seattle Seahawks.

Wilson, a 10-time Pro Bowler, could sign with his fourth team in five years. He played the first 10 seasons of his career with the Seahawks, capturing a Super Bowl title in 2014. However, he hasn't replicated his early production since leaving Seattle.

The Wisconsin product also spent two seasons with the Denver Broncos, followed by one-year stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Giants.

The Jets are in the market to add an experienced passer behind Smith. Brady Cook, Bailey Zappe, and rookie Cade Klubnik currently fill out the depth chart.
