Five-time Pro Bowl running back Derrick Henry says he's looking forward to what the Baltimore Ravens will look like under new head coach Jesse Minter and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle.
"I mean, change can be good," Henry said recently, according to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec. "We're all excited for everything. Everything is new, so we're all just trying to learn, but also enjoying it, taking it day by day, not trying to get too overwhelmed, but just being present in the moment."
Henry appears to be adapting quickly to the new offensive scheme, earning praise from his new head coach for his leadership and work ethic.
"He's an unbelievable example for everybody else on the team - offense, defense, whatever - of how you operate when you want to learn, and you want to be the best," Minter told Zrebiec. "It's just unbelievable the way he goes about his business."
The Ravens hired Minter this offseason after moving on from head coach John Harbaugh following 18 seasons. Minter brought in Doyle, who served as the Chicago Bears' offensive coordinator last year, though he didn't call plays. However, Chicago's offense ranked third in the NFL in rushing yards and yards per carry.
The run game has been a major component of the Ravens' offense, especially since Henry joined the team. The 32-year-old has rushed for 3,516 yards in his two seasons with the franchise.
