New York Jets running back Breece Hall will miss the next two-to-three weeks with a groin strain but is expected to be ready for the regular season opener, head coach Aaron Glenn said Tuesday.

Hall reportedly sustained the injury after catching a pass during Monday's practice. The star tailback walked off the field slowly with trainers.

Glenn initially said after Monday's session that he didn't think Hall's injury was "a big deal" but didn't want to elaborate until he received additional medical evaluations.

Hall will miss the Jets' two remaining preseason games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants. However, it appears that talented halfback will be available when the team kicks off their season Sept. 13 against the Tennessee Titans.

Hall rushed for 1,065 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 4.4 yards per carry in 2025. The Iowa State product also caught 36 passes for 350 yards and a score last season.

Glenn also said that rookies D'Angelo Ponds (calf) and Kenyon Sadiq (hernia) are making progress as they work back from injuries.

"The goal has always been getting those guys ready for Week 1," Glenn said.
