The New York Giants signed free-agent running back Najee Harris, the team announced Tuesday.

New York released veteran receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster in a corresponding move.

Harris agreed to terms on a one-year deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo. He joins the Giants after visiting the team Monday.

After playing under head coach Jim Harbaugh with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2025, Harris will now suit up for John Harbaugh this season.

"I felt like the hair on the back of my neck stood up when I saw him over there, you know? He's a big dude," Harbaugh said Monday, according to SNY's Danny Abriano.

The 28-year-old Harris missed all but three games last season due to an Achilles injury, though he's now "fully healthy," per Rapoport and Garafolo.

The Alabama product proved to be a reliable starter for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2021-24, posting at least 1,000 rushing yards each season while racking up 28 total rushing touchdowns.

The former Pro Bowl tailback joins a running back room that features Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy Jr., and Devin Singletary.
