Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn is out indefinitely and headed to injured reserve with a torn quad, an injury that could ultimately end his season, sources told ESPN's Ian Rapoport.
Horn is seeking a second opinion, Rapoport adds.
The Pro Bowl cornerback was injured during a Deshaun Watson touchdown pass in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns and had to be helped off the field.
The Panthers also lost starting cornerback Mike Jackson to a groin injury during Sunday's game.
A former first-round pick in 2021, Horn has started 56 games for the Panthers, collecting two Pro Bowl invites and 10 interceptions, including a career-high five picks last year.
Carolina is 1-2, tied for the best record in the NFC South with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. The Panthers face the Detroit Lions in Week 4 before getting a bye in Week 5.
