San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans won't play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons due to Achilles and rib injuries.

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel and edge rusher Nick Bosa were also ruled out.

Evans exited Monday's contest against the Washington Commanders in the second quarter and didn't return after aggravating his Achilles injury. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said postgame that Evans has been dealing with Achilles tendinitis, but it isn't expected to sideline the receiver long-term.

The 33-year-old has been on the injury report for five games this season due to various issues. Evans didn't practice last week leading up to the Monday night game.

Evans has been crucial to the 49ers' undefeated start, recording 27 receptions for a team-leading 420 yards and three touchdowns. He joined San Francisco on a three-year deal worth up to $42.4 million after a 12-year run with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brandin Cooks, Jordan Watkins, and Jacob Cowing are healthy wide receivers available for the 49ers against the Falcons. Christian Kirk, who began the season on injured reserve due to a calf injury, practiced this week and is questionable for Sunday.
