Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson is on his way back to Lambeau Field from a local hospital after being evaluated for a chest injury suffered on Thursday Night Football against the Carolina Panthers.

Watson left the game in the second quarter after a Panthers player landed on him as he completed a 53-yard catch. He also appeared to fall hard on the ball.

The Packers initially listed Watson as questionable to return after he walked to the locker room under his own power. The 27-year-old had a terrific start to the contest, catching six of seven targets for 100 yards.

Watson entered the game as Green Bay's leading receiver, posting 595 yards and six touchdowns.

The Packers will rely on Matthew Golden and Savion Williams as their top wideouts while Watson is sidelined.
